Sorry Stitch...I believe it was every man (and woman) for himself (and herself) as the magnitude and nature of this industry downturn became more apparent on an almost daily basis.<g>

Seriously, man. I had to take care of some biz. It will be a while before I get back stateside and retain more control over my time (online and offline) so I'm going to be relying on posts from people like you, PX, Mark, Tbowl and the others to keep updated on this industry.

This downturn looks particularly nasty, though. What did Trend Focus say? 35-50% industry overcapacity?!?!?! That's a screaming signal that this sector is going to be trading range bound for quite some time. I don't know about you, but the rewards (50-70%) in playing those trading ranges long or short aren't that interesting to me considering the risks I have to assume so I don't expect to be in this sector this year.

That said, PX's new board sounds like an interesting place to hang out, don't you think?

Regards,

Gus

P.S. I was just thinking. The two most intriguing plays in the disk drive industry are:

1) Quantum's DLT - Given what lies ahead, will Mike Brown and his crew ever let go of the DLT cash cow? Doubt it.

2) Seagate Software - Now, this one looks like it's ready to go. Check out Legato's (LGTO) multiples, apply it to SEG Software and you will see what I mean.

Gotta' go.
