Globe says chief acquires 6.4 million shares
World Wide Minerals Ltd WWS Shares issued 53039225 1998-03-16 close $0.25 Tuesday Mar 17 1998 The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday, March 17, edition that the president and chief operating officer of World Wide Minerals, Wallace Mays, has acquired a total of 6.4 million common shares of the company in private transactions, giving him a total of 7.6 million common shares, or approximately 13 per cent of the 58 million shares outstanding. The Globe's Investment News column reports that Mr Mays also holds options to purchase another 150,000 common shares under the company's employee stock option plan. World Wide Mineral's chairman and CEO, Paul Carroll, acquired 6.63 million common shares of the company in a private transaction, giving him a total of 7.39 million common shares, or 12.7 per cent of those outstanding. He holds options to purchase another 400,000 common shares under the company's employee stock option plan. The executives purchased the shares for investment purposes only, the company said.
