Like you, I got into ABIIB a couple of weeks ago & was pleasantly surprised to see it gap at the open yesterday (I think my reaction was a "whaaaa!?"). But I'm left wondering why it gapped yesterday, and hoping it's not because VV showed it as their "featured stock" in the weekend newsletter.
Sure they've got fantastic fundamentals, but other than that VV mention, I'm not sure what caused the sudden onrush of interest. Any comments?
Now I have to get the VV subscription...I promised myself that if it made me enough $ to justify it, I would. I wish they had intraday info available, though.
Curious about what methods other people are using to screen things - I have VV look at things I can afford 1 to 3 hundred shares of, and what their price & volume trends have been like for the last few weeks, then check fundamentals on quote.yahoo.com (also checking to see how many analysts are covering), then look at charts (SMA, primarily). Then I agonize for a couple of days, buy (price invariably drops slightly just after I buy), and agonize again for a couple of weeks until the price recovers and I'm in the black again. |
