Sky is not falling. If you long CPQ on your cash account, 24 or even 5 doesn't make any sense to you. You didn't realize your loss. But if you short and when stock back up above your short price, you cann't hold them forever. At certain point, you have to realize it. that is the downside of the short.

As I always say, LONG on CPQ! Average down CPQ.
