I don't know who you spoke to that claimed to have gotten 1/2 of a million lines of code converted in an afternoon, but I can gaurantee you that they did not have that much code fixed and tested in an afternoon, a day, or a week.

Most of Matridigm's products are a series of macro's that help a user identify potential problem areas in a body of software. Other macros can allow for the global replacement of existing code patterns. That's the easy part. Testing and verification is the bulk of the work and it is IMPOSSIBLE to "automate" that part of the process.

Do us all a favor and talk to your source again and ask some detailed questions about what exactly was done with the source code at the "factory". It would be informative for everyone on this thread.
