Dwight, why are you so stuck on whether Jesus was homosexual? No one here suggested that he was, incidentally, simply that there were web pages which asked that question, and noted that nowhere in the Bible did it say that he was heterosexual.
The original subject, incidentally, was not simply cruel parenting decisions, but that they were against homosexual children, and were perhaps the result of a conservative Christian religious belief system. When the discussion started I, for one, was perfectly willing to be convinced that other kinds of parents rejected their children, but I have found no evidence to support that. And of course, no one is alleging that ALL conservative Christian parents reject their homosexual children. But I would say that they have an influence on social policy and the climate of hatred and fear in this country which makes a discussion of underlying belief systems relevant. Certainly, if one group in a society is impacting on the health and very life of the nation's children because of their belief system, it seems fair to examine where those beliefs originated, and one thing we were discussing here is that the Bible is open to MANY interpretations.

I provided, several posts back, a second opinion backing up the statistics in the 60 Minutes segment. The figures come from the U.S. Health and Human Services department. I would note that they have been challenged in a post since then, which provided exactly no footnotes or even where it came from. However, its bias is clearly revealed when it includes references to children being LEAD into homosexuality. Where do people get this nonsense, anyway? The link I provided offers documentation from the U.S. government, and university studies. I stand on my own source material as factual.
Why don't you actually read and consider these sources, as I think they clear up some of your questions:
