Christine, sitting in church with someone is a lot different than spending 40 hrs a week with them in close confines. For such a position, for which I was personally paying the wages and working closely with them, certainly I will choose someone whom is compatible with my personal credo.
Again I have to ask, how many gays have you paid the wages for, while they worked in your home?
Let me put it another way: If, during the interview process for hiring someone to help me in my self-employed business, I was interviewing a man, and he answered questions to indicated that he didn't think very much of good business ethics, I wouldn't hire him, because that doesn't fit my personal credo.
If the person I was hiring seemed too quiet and shy, I might not like that, or I might like that. It's MY decision, because I'm hiring them for the ONLY paid position in my self-employed enterprise, so I'm going to be darn picky, and so if you don't like that, then lump it. |
