Dwight, I think we should stop talking about this subject, and move on to something else. The society in general has a prejudice against homosexuals, led by conservative Christians. To say that statistics are not generally true because someone has not personally watched a family reject its child is simply not a logical argument. Homosexual children are definitely damaged by the societal prejudices, and again, as you have done before, you throw alcoholics and people who are promiscuous--people who may be damaged but have some control over their behavior, or can seek help--in with homosexuals, who do not create their own sexual identity. This is the same thing you did by labelling them sinners.
Individuals, and churches, make up societies, and everyone has a part in swaying public opinion and policy. If you are fomenting intolerance and bigotry and prejudice, these all make a difference, and your feelings do impact on the lives of others. I really don't have anything further to say.
