Commentary on the last 15 min of trading Thurs. before earnings released......

Typically, market makers make their money from the spread. They usually do not want to go to bed with any position long or short. If IOMG has a volatile trading history (which we all know it does), doesn't it make sense that during the last few minutes of the day that they all lowered their markets just to try to get out of the way and not buy any shares just before the close??? What was the volume in the last few minutes??? I haven't checked, but I bet it doesn't justify a 3 point drop. Technically the MM's could have moved the market 3 points with just a few thousand shares traded. I bet none of them wanted to explain to their boss why the had a position the night before major news was to be released if they were on the wrong side of the fence.

Conclusion: The 3 point drop Thurs. was silly. When earnings and news was indeed released after the close, third market trading was all significantly higher.
