In pediatrics, procedures are billed by a code number
established by the Academy of Pediatrics. The third
party payers adopt these code numbers, and pay
of course as little as they can. The fact that the CCSI
device usage will be "coded" the same as an
existing procedure tells you what the "insurance"
providers are expected to pay. Whether they accept
that coding or not for the procedure remains to be seen.
