I am as disappointed as anyone to the market reaction to this news. I think that the Viagra expectations overshadow VVUS at this point.

One accounting point, although not a CPA, I don't think anyone is going to distinguish "costs of inventory" and not recognize them as costs of goods sold. For one thing, it would raise projected profits and therefore, taxes. Also the SEC would likely think of it as "cooking the books". If I knew a company was doing that I'd be off like a scalded cat.

The very lack of movement makes me suspect that VVUS has dropped off the radar screens of some of the institutions until the effect of Viagra is known. Also I forget that many people do not yet realize the effect this MCA approval will have on the projected 1st qtr earnings, and probably won't until we see a change in First Call, and some institutional upgrades. There are of course the "Evil MM's" theories but I would think that if someone was juicing the stock to accumulate, some of our friends with Level II would have let us know by now.

I've said it before, the two people on this thread who want Viagra approval as soon as possible are BigKNY3 and myself. I do not see any delay in Viagra approval as positive for VVUS.
