Hello, Rob and all. A more piece of news on IDTI.

Headline: Evergreen Upgrades With IDT WinChip C6; Evergreen First to Use IDT
WinChip C6 Processor, Partners with IDT to Deliver Upgrades for Mainstream PCs

======================================================================
SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 17, 1998--Integrated
Device Technology, Inc. (IDT) (NASDAQ:IDTI) today announced a
strategic alliance with Evergreen Technologies, Inc., a leader in
processor upgrades for personal computers. Under the terms of
agreement, IDT will supply the IDT WinChip(TM) C6(TM) microprocessor,
which will be included in Evergreen's MxPro family of products to
upgrade Intel Pentium(R) processor-based computers.
"Evergreen is committed to providing advanced technology for the
processor upgrade marketplace," said Timothy F. McCarthy, Evergreen
vice president of channel marketing and business development. "The IDT
WinChip C6 design, price/performance and time to market
characteristics match our requirements closely." Evergreen's exclusive
BIOS allows the IDT WinChip C6 processor to be used as a direct
replacement for existing Socket 5 and 7 processors.
Centaur Technology, Inc., IDT's wholly-owned design subsidiary,
made this superior-value performance chip possible through a
revolutionary design that is 30 to 60 percent smaller in size and
consumes as much as 50 percent less power than similar processors. The
x86-compatible device with MMX(R) capability makes upgrading nearly
effortless for businesses that want to run today's accelerated
business applications without replacing their old systems.
Both IDT and Evergreen share a common mission to satisfy the
under-served sub-$1,000 desktop and portable PC markets. McCarthy
sited this and the IDT WinChip C6 processor's superior performance and
industry compatibility standards as further reasons behind Evergreen's
decision to choose the IDT WinChip.
"IDT supports Evergreen's system upgrades because they deliver
end-users an excellent solution for running today's business
applications without having to replace existing PC systems," said Joe
Baranowski, Centaur vice president of sales and marketing. "IDT
supports organizations that look to keep pace with today's fast
processing speeds through upgrades rather than costly replacement of
computer systems."

Redefining the Performance/Price Equation

The IDT WinChip C6 processor is a superior price-performance
processor for business applications. Its small die size -- a mere 88
mm2 -- and low power are achieved by simplifying the architecture and
eliminating, or reducing, complex logic found in other processors. The
small die size translates to lower manufacturing costs and lower power
dissipation. The device is a 5.4-million transistor design that
utilizes a highly manufacturable 0.30-micron and 4-layer-metal CMOS
technology.
The IDT WinChip C6 features competitive performance with other
comparable processors based on benchmarks such as Winstone(R) 97
business running on Microsoft Windows 95(R).

Socket 7 Compatibility & Industry Approvals

The IDT WinChip C6 processor has been tested and approved for
compatibility by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Lab (WHQL).
Every IDT WinChip C6 carries the "Designed for Microsoft Windows 95"
logo. The device also received XXCAL (www.xxcal.com) Platinum
certification. This provides assurance that the IDT WinChip C6 is
compatible with software and hardware products used by major
corporations and end users throughout the world. The processor runs
all leading operating systems, including: Windows 95, Windows NT(R),
Windows 3.x, MS-DOS(R), Novell(R) NetWare, OS/2 Warp, Unix(R), and
Solaris(TM); as well as other software packages and the latest
MMX-enabled multimedia applications.
The IDT WinChip C6 is offered in a 296-pin Ceramic Pin Grid Array
(CPGA) Socket 7-compatible package, which enables PC manufacturers to
leverage the established and cost-effective Socket 7 motherboard,
chipset and BIOS infrastructure.
