3com's p/e is over 60, do you think dell should trade over 60, there are not so good companies tradeing over p/e 100. do you think dell should be trading with a p/e of 100? P/E only makes sense to companies with steady earnings, if they have one or two really bad quarters, you can't use p/e. The same with some internet stocks, they are not even makeing any money. I don't know what makes you to buy dell if you can't figure this out.
