To Jeremiah and all lurkers and lookers:
A couple of days ago I mentioned the possibility of setting up a team of converters of old Xray archives on film to the digital mode to save tons of storage space. This morning I found out the this concept will not fly. Although the cost savings would be large, the idea will not fly because the film conversion will not enhance the quality but rather diminish it. That fact coupled with the facility's ability to destroy these archives when they reach 7 years of age makes it inappropriate to consider the conversion of old Xray negatives.
I will have some good news to relate in a couple of days, when I am cleared to publish them on this thread. Hang in there. Let the big dog eat.
