Rod: Amen to your comments on Oracle. We use Oracle applications as the database for our company. The reliablility of the engine is great.

The applications, on the other hand, are very poorly written. Each screen must have been written by a different person with no user interface style standard. In some of the screens, you can be caught in an endless loop. The only way out is to reboot.

Trouble reports go unanswered, because the applications aren't important enough to support. (I guess they did not sell as many as they expected.)

The screens have a user interface that seems to have been written by junior college students as a class project.

How Oracle can contribute to a user friendly network computer is beyond me.
