INTRODUCTION
============

Net Notions is a very unique product which allows group collaboration through the use
of
electronic note annotations which may be attached to existing documents, windows
and Web
pages using the familiar Drag & Drop mechanism.

The product consists of two main applications, Net Notions Server and
Net Notions Client. The Server program is used store notes and replicate
note changes to all connected clients. The Client program allows each user to connect
to a shared or private Folder on the Server - add, modify, and delete the notes
stored in the folder. Changes to notes are replicated in real time to all other
clients currently connected to the same folder.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
===================

Net Notions Server
------------------

- 486 or better processor (Pentium/Pentium Pro/Pentiun II recommended)
- Windows 95 or Windows NT
- TCP/IP network protocol
- Minimum 8MB RAM, Recommended 16MB RAM
- Minimum 15MB free disk space

Net Notions Client
------------------

- 386 or better processor
- Windows 3.1 or WFWG 3.1x or Windows 95
- TCP/IP network protocol
- Minimum 4MB RAM, Recommended 8MB RAM
- Minimum 2MB free disk space

HOW TO INSTALL Net Notions
==========================

The self extracting file NTNTRY1.EXE expands into three files:

Readme.txt (this file)
Servset.exe (Net Notions server setup program)
Clntset.exe (Net Notions client setup program)

Net Notions Server
------------------

To install the Net Notions Server, double click on the Servset.exe program and
follow the instructions provided by the install wizard.

Net Notions Client
------------------

To install the Net Notions Client, double click on the Clntset.exe program and
follow the instructions provided by the install wizard.

Windows 95 / Windows NT 4.0
---------------------------

If you are running Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0 simply place the Net Notions CD-ROM
in the
drive and the master setup program will run automatically.

As an altenative you may bypass the master setup program and install the Server and
Client separately by running the SETUP.EXE program in the \Server and \Client
directories off the root on the Net Notions CD-ROM.

Windows 3.1x / WFWG 3.1x / Windows NT 3.x
-----------------------------------------

If you are running Windows 3.x, Windows for Workgroups 3.x or Windows NT 3.x, simply
place the Net Notions CD-ROM into the drive and run MSETUP.EXE from the root directory.

HOW TO UNINSTALL Net Notions Server
===================================

To uninstall Net Notions from your system, double click on the
Uninstall icon in the Net Notions Server and/or Client group.
The Server and Client must be uninstalled separately.
