mb...when compaq started the price war and cut pc prices in half in 1992 wasn't it.... what happened to their stock and their profit.
your analysis doesn't hold water when it comes to the result that you
expect.... go look at the facts on the great price cuts on 1992.
the 1992 price cut is the largest and compaq profit and stk went through the roof.
Cpq will be 45 but not on the reason you state.
In fact, since I've been following cpq. These price wars shake out the weakies and cpq ends up with larger market share becasue the ast's and acers of the world fall out.
