Whether or not they are succeeding and improving their effectiveness at work remains to be seen

A view from the trenches. Whatever the strengths of the product line (and I happen to believe that it is the best implementation around right now) this company is going to have to do something about either i) its go-to-market strategy or ii) the people it hires to build that market.

As a small systems integration business, we have had a number of interactions with the company in the last few years, and it is still one of the most difficult companies to deal with at street level. Phone calls go unanswered, appointments are cancelled at the last minute and so on. Their image (from this perspective at least) is one of total self-sufficiency: i.e. they need no help in conquering the world, thank you very much.

Hopefully the Platinum move will make them realise that they are going to need all the friends they can get.
