Keynes was simple: have one person dig a hole and another fill it

But thats just the point: meaningless work that the govt sets up is disastrous to both the economy and individuals. This is not the time nor place to discuss this, but there would have been better, free market ways to get out of depression, And that is completely sidestepping the issue that there have always been recessions but our govt interference helped it become a full fledged depression.
But I'll drop it now because it isnt really Dell.
