...but who would want to short this stock at these levels? I'm neither long nor short Compaq at the moment, and looking for a good entry level to go long. If I had to do one or the other, I would rather go long at this price than short.
Biggest threat going long at this price is losing $23.625 per share if Compaq goes under...not likely at all. Heck, I bet even DELL would be willing to buy out Compaq at $15/share. But losses from shorting can be unlimited. (If I short now and CPQ hits $100/sh, my loss would be $76.375/share!)
