From Briefing: Bay Networks Inc. (BAY) 26 13/16 +1/8: computer networking concern is warning that it expects to record a sequential decline in operating income and revenues in Q3; expects revenue to fall 10% below Q2 level of $645 mln as gross margins also fall; according to First Call, BAY was projected to earn $0.28 a share in Q3, vs Q2 net of $0.27 and year-ago profit of $0.10 a share..... CNBC reports at 6:25pm that BAY is down $2 on instinet in afterhours trading. This news comes on the heels of an earlier prediction from the analyst community that 3Com would miss it's numbers this quarter too. Could this indicate more widespread issues affecting the sector, not just CS? cm!
