AV, This is an Antitrust Law. There is a waiting period, when you go to acquire another company in which either the FTC or the DOJ through the FTC can object to the merger.

What this announcment means is that neither the Federal Trade Commission, nor the Department of Justice will object to the CCIR/HDCO merger, nor will either agency impose any conditions on the merger. That is good, as the merger may move forward with US Government blessing now...

It also means that the CCIR/HDCO Company must be close to controlling some significant market share (oligopolistic pricing power) in some ECM arena- anyone want to guess what that is?

Sincerely,

Doug F.
