I just finished listening to the conference call and must say that most of my stress about today is relieved (but I'm in for the long-term). Some major issues:

1) FY 1999 -
guidance is unchanged; expected gross margins to hit around 55% during the year

2) Accelar line -
supply constraint issues on the ramp won't be an issue next qtr

cited transition issues because of the debate over GE standards

mentioned CSCO's vaporware campaign, but said they wouldn't have a
credible answer soon - also said they were winning some significant/large cisco accounts - really focusing on hitting CSCO's backbone business

said evaluation unit testing is longer because its the backbone of a company's network - have heard very good things

waiting to see how many eval units turn into revenue for this qtr

3)revenue decline (only scary part)-

said that the decline was spread across all geography and product lines

said this was do to industry transition issues - GE standards, GE vs. ATM, switches vs. shared, routers vs. routing switches, modem standards

overall book to bill will be at most 1, probably less than 1

Accelar line book to bill will be "substantially" better than 1

4)new products -

said they were very happy with their new product pipeline

mentioned new in-house developed products that they didn't talk about because they wanted to spring them on their competitors

More later
