Japan MOF says to act against yen weakness

TOKYO, March 18 (Reuters) - Japan will take decisive measures against excessive yen weakeness, Haruhiko Kuroda, director-general of the International Finance Bureau of the Ministry of Finance (MOF), told reporters on Wednesday.

''We will act decisively against excessive yen moves,'' Kuroda said.

Asked whether that could include intervention in the foreign exchange market, Kuroda said: ''We will consider all possible measures to deal with excessive moves.''
