Good reply Richard- Ranging indicators have a function which is not specific to trend. Stochrsi seems to be a "sophisticated" ranging indicator. I will have to check CHK or HBOC but suspect it worked all the way up. You gave me a glimmer into answer but basically still in a fog. I.E. find a trading tool for trending stocks which works on small caps- under $20. This may work but consistency is at higher prices????. As you can see these picks are all basically movers or at least high volatility issues. I will try other combinations being aware that a ranging indicator is just that. Could be on right side of mountain. System test runs buy/sell on right side too. Now I know by observation that right side needs to be reversed-- short on sell/cover on buy. But I still haven't found parameters to show this cleanly in a system test. I have tried. Sorry about NM - kicked me out whenever I tried to save stuff- got the save but came on out of NM as well. yt andy
