You know Yiwu, I'm not aware of any broker's that don't charge interest if you borrow money from them overnight or longer. You are required to put up 50% of the amount shorted, if you borrow it from them, why shouldn't you pay interest? 7% is a right decent rate as well. I think you can get a little less at Brown&Co if you have a million dollars or more on margin.

I could be all wet on this, and would appreciate hearing about it if I am. I'd really like to evaluate a broker who is offering interest free loans (other than daytrades).
