BB, From what I am hearing from several varied "financial gurus" is that REITs are doing quite well already. I believe even Bob Brinker was more sanguine on them recently. This place is just as crazy(green hills of CoCo County), We have had two private parties, in as many months, leave "looking for house in this area" letters in our mailbox. Thank god that deduction was raised to $500K. We are looking forward to moving to upcountry. I don't know quite what we will do with an excess "profit" of about $300K next year. We will be down sizing. Half acre with fruit trees, pool, garden, patio.... just too much work. BTW, my neighbor commutes from Walnut Creek to Santa Clara. What a masochist. On a good day that is an hour and half. He would have probably been better off in Scotts Valley or south. Wishing you good appreciation. RW
