Please read the following statements made by VLSI's COO regarding VLSI's business www1.newsalert.com .

I am 100% in agreement with Merril Lynch's conclusion that the shift is in the telecommunication and internet centric computing model (I am a big fan of Sun's thin client/server centric computing model)! Therefore I agree that only those chip makers that are 100% concentrated on telecommunications and internet related ASIC chips will be the big real winners (both short as well as long term).

Having said that I always thought (and continue to think) that this is exactly what LSI is all about and what the company's business strategy is putting the company in that direction. Is there any reason that I should think otherwise? Should I be thinking of switching from LSI and invest in VLSI instead?

Will apreciate it very much of everyone's opinion.

Regards,

Addi Jamshidi
