UK Times: EMU crisis could cripple companies

HUNDREDS of smaller software companies could go out
of business as the spectre of EMU tightens its grip across
Europe, warns the head of one financial business.

Andreas Kerni, chief executive of Scala, the "one
language, one software, one solution" package, believes
that EMU has the potential to become even more of a
nightmare than the Millennium crisis.

"Hundreds of other financial software businesses do not
understand the issue," he says. "If they are not prepared
then I believe they will go under."
