Here's something from my Investor Insight service, posted by DJ at 5:07PM Tuesday:

Glenayre Unit To Offer Spread Spectrum Links With Mass. Firm

SUNNYVALE, Calif. (Dow Jones)--Glenayre Technologies Inc.'s (GEMS) Glenayre Western Multiplex unit and Interplex Inc. agreed to jointly provide spread spectrum radio links to broadcasters.

The companies plan to offer digital T1/F1 STL radio network links based on spread spectrum technology, which is a form of digital microwave radio communication that does not require a license from the Federal Communications Commission.

Financial terms weren't disclosed.

The radio access product, which will available through Interplex's dealer network, will integrate Glenayre Western's Lynx.sc spread spectrum radio with Interplex's STL Plus digital access device.

In a press release Tuesday, Glenayre said its Lynx.sc radio offers bi-directional channels for the transmission and backhaul of uncompressed digital program audio, plus voice and data over microwave links.

Interplex, Westford, Mass., develops and markets integrated digital access devices for wireless communication.

Glenayre Technologies develops and makes personal telecommunications products and systems.
