Doug - that is true (re: need of consolidations) However, the timetable is difficult to set. I somewhat agree with the UBS analysis pasted here 2 days ago, but with slightly different rationale. All the potential acquirers are playing the waiting game, not wanting to overpay. So you got a lot of nibblings of smaller outfit. However, I think if any of the technologies, ATM, xDSL, GE, Layer 3 are gaining momentum and become less murky, and if one of the big shops, such as LU or NT, fires the first salvo, the merger stampede will resume.
