Cidco Incorporated Announces Financial Results For The Third Quarter 1996
MORGAN HILL, Calif., Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Cidco Inc today announced financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 1996. Third quarter sales were $46.0 million, a decrease of 1 percent from sales of $46.6 million for the same period in 1995. Sales for the nine months ended September 30, 1996 were $158.1 million, an increase of 11 percent from sales of $142.3 million in the same period last year.
Operating income for the third quarter of 1996 was $7.6 million, a decrease of 19 percent over $9.4 million for the same period in 1995. Operating income for the nine months ended September 30, 1996 was $28.2 million, an increase of 1 percent from operating income of $27.9 million for the same period last year.
Net income for the third quarter of 1996 was $5.3 million, a decrease of 9 percent from net income of $5.8 million for the same period in 1995. For the nine months, net income was $18.3 million, an increase of 5 percent from net income of $17.4 million for the same period ended September 30, 1995. Earnings per share for the third quarter 1996 were $0.33 versus $0.39 for the same period in l995, and for the nine months ended September 30, 1996 were $1.18 versus $1.16 in 1995.
