Gregor, I was every form of "God Tripper" human idea known to mankind. I tried every path dreamed up. The emptiness of all of them is what drove me in desperation to listen to the first saved Christians I ever met--all ex-God Trippers who had done more stuff trying to get somewhere, anywhere than even I had. And then I was very sceptical
and thought they were a little nuts. Then the next day I was worse than any of them.

Praying to god even unknown is better than a stick in the eye, and will lead closer to Jesus Christ.
Gregor, each salvation is simply a miracle, and like all miracles, you can't make it happen. It is a miracle. Keep praying for it,
that's all I know at this point in time. The miracle is done by God, and I came to Jesus loving God first, but having not a clue as to how to get there and feeling that the worst way on earth was to rejoin the empty idiots I had gone to dead churches with my whole life.
Remember--this man is in that exact position also.
Jesus Christ takes a miracle. That's why God in Heaven has to send angels to lead men to His Son, the Son in turn opens the door immediately to the God in Heaven. They are the one's who tell me THEY work together. I know this to be true because I lived it. That is why I hold to a Trinity, and without a Trinity, I would have another "religion" I would not understand. The Reality of God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ from the Father is hard enough to hold fast to as the world utterly falls to ruin around me. Daily my faith is tested, as I'm sure it has been for 2000 years and this is nothing, nothing new and never will be.
Faith comes by hearing, hearing by the Word of God. In the beginning was the Word. The Word was then made flesh (by the Heavenly Father, not by the Word itself) and lived and walked among us.
The Bible IS the Word. The Bible is Jesus made real in our Spirit.
All I really need is my Bible. That is why the Bible is so hated.
That is what I got one day in Arizona when I was asking God how I was going to hold on in a world designed to erase Him from our memories.
The secret is in staying in the Word. The Word is alive. IT is the vehicle of the Holy Spirit. And all of that a divine mystery. That's all I know. To get far away from the gospels and the rest of the N.T. is very, very dangerous. After awhile we are going on our own battery, and I have found mine will run down.
