Hello everyone. My 6-month control period has now expired and I feel free to reply. I am still bound by confidentiality so I will not be able to answer many of your questions.
I resigned from E-data for several reasons. I moved to the SF Bay Area to become CEO of QFTV Inc., the first company in North America to introduce a "hang-on-the-wall" TV made from plasma technology. After one year of operations, we are already the high-end distribution leader through the professional systems integration market. We integrate and distribute for corporate, governmental and institutional applications. QFTV was an opportunity I couldn't pass on.
The other reason for my resignation is that I saw that there was little I could do directly. Obviously, the case is in the hands of attorneys and the schedule for the Markman Hearing is in the hands of the Judge.
I am at least as frustrated as all of you by the waiting. I can assure you that everyone inside of E-data is also frustrated. Grant Robertson and the other directors are investigating whatever actions may be taken. I have requested, as you have, that the company communicate with its shareholders, and they will - as soon as there is something to say.
I absolutely believe in E-data's patent. I never had any idea how long it would take to wind its way through the judicial system. I anxiously await the Markman scheduling (it has to happen within some reasonable time period). In the meantime, many companies have been put on proper notice of infringement, so the delay will not mean loss of revenues assuming the adjudication and interpretations are in E-data's favor.
I will be travelling through Sunday, so please do not expect me to reply to anyone until then.
Thanks for your support. I also find myself to be impatient, but I am reminded everyday by the adage about patience - "Dear God, please give me patience, an I want it now!"
