Dorine...AAPL must have a growth plan...and regardless of the consumer goods they live or die on PC sales...people (businesses, schools, individuals,etc) make choices on PCs...not everyone is price sensitive...but the glut CPQ has is in the business/corporate segment (which includes publishing and education)...its just really cheap..corporate and small business clients can now get a complete system (including monitor) for less than $875

HWP and IBM are having the same problem but not as bad

I am also betting that the demand they create will be borrowing from future demand and every PC maker will feel the effect

I dont think AAPL's products are that differentiated to justify the price difference which has widen considerably...this is only my opinion
