Decoma, under magna, was the largest and one of the most profitable divisions of Magna. I believe it is primarily Magna shareholders who know the company and how it is dominating the exterior plastics market. I bought some at the IPO but thought that I would wait to buy more because we thought it would go down in price, just as Tesma did (tsm.a on the TSE). I've kicked myself now, but I think alot of employees are trying to get in now. Again, Im not a real expert on the markets.

Earnings, Im no financial statement expert: Heres a summary for 1997

Sales $510986 (in thousands)
Net Income $ 28323
Earnings/ClassB $ 0.80
Diluted earnings per ClassB and ClassA Voting Shares
$ 0.72

10,526,316 Class A Shares
Magna owns all of the Class B shares (magna still has a controlling interest, but also competes with Decoma in some markets). This is one of the future risks outlined in the prosectus.

Anyways, gotta call my broker (already up a loonie today)

Shawn :)
