V1:

I've now checked, and QGENF does have options on it. This means you can create a "synthetic short" by buying an at-the-money put and selling a similar call. In theory, this should be a better deal for the average investor than a real short, because the option prices essentially assume you can get interest on your short sale. (Thus the call should be higher priced than the put). In practice, as with all option transactions in my limited experience, you get killed by the huge spreads involved in opening and closing the transactions.
