Philips took out a 3/4 page add in the Dallas Morning News 10/07/96.
Cost was $499 with the $100 rebate. I believe I found a link to
the specs (not sure someone correct me if I'm wrong) at:

Don't think it is a major threat to IO... yet.

Would like to add that I haven't heard alot about the upcoming Comdex.
I believe IOMEGA has some big news in the wings... my three favorite
picks for this are...

1) Some sort of entry into the CD world.
2) Kodak related digital camera disk storage.
3) Nintendo compatible disk cartridges.

Anyone else out there have some other ideas?
