Ron, great question. I am using the average down methodology in some bottom fihing I do with the NASDAQ and it has worked very well. I have also applied it to my Canadian Juniors stocks only when I am am still comfortable with the company. Unlike you Ron, I have only been doing the juniors since May so I don't have a good track record yet to see if I am right or not. I am trying to play some of these stocks as a longer term hold rather than flash in the pan buying and selling. Some of the people on SI have warned against this type of thing while others have profitted from it. As one of my mentors has said "Its a matter of style". That same mentor however reminded me that the profit is made in the buying and he uses the averaging up phylosophy as well.

From the decreased volume on the SI, I think many of us are feeling the hurt of the dul summer and bad October. Not many stocks are going up right now. I am watching enviously at those which are as I don't hold any of them.

So....I have averaged down, believe in averaging up and don't have enough experience to see if I am right or not.

Best of Luck,

Ross
