I agree, Harryx, December is probably a better time to buy. However, isn't there at least some truth to CLK's theory. A number of Canadian brokerage houses have a fiscal year end of March 31. As a result, there must be some impetus to ensure accounts are clarified and records are in order. This may include selling stock from overdue accounts. While trading rules do not differ greatly in Canada and there is no mass reconciliation process, I would think that if the preceding few months have been tumultuous, there may be some significant housecleaning. If things have been fairly stable, the impact may be difficult to notice.

What are your thoughts?

Cheers, IanD
