Jane - Would you ever institute treatment of jaundice on the basis of this test alone? ie, is this gizmo designed to screen only? Would you have to corroborate any elevated reading with a blood test? The avoided cost of the blood test is said to be $22-26/test. What is measured in this $20 test? Is it total bilirubin? Is it fractionated bilirubin? Is it bound v. unbound? Are these good questions, or should I just go away? Dan
