Dave, I agree that the CD could serve all three functions, but...
I have some reservations about this offering. First, I couldn't
determine from the spec's if the drive was a Write many times or
a Write once type technology (it seemed to imply the latter). If
it was the latter then this is definitely old news. (Not saying
it's bad, just old. I've been wishing they would do CD WORM's en
masse for some time now.) Secondly, the data transfer speeds and
access times seem a little slow as compared to even todays newer
CD-Rom drives. The cost of the media... my guess would be that CD's would be cheaper.

Don't get me wrong, I think read/write CD drives are definitely
gonna happen, but I don't see them taking a huge bite out of IOM
market share at this time.
