LaserTechnics (LASX)

quote.yahoo.com

The 2 year chart shows that it made a high of 4+ sometime in May/June
1996. After that it has been a steady decline (it is now a penny
stock).

In July 1996, LASX issued some convertible debentures. Among the
investors were

Leonardo, L.P.
GAM Arbitrage Investments Inc.
AG Super Fund International Partners, L.P.
Raphael, L.P.

These 4 firms along with Ramius Fund, Ltd. and Baldwin Enterprises, Inc. are controlled by the same group of people.

The drop in LASX might be totally unrelated with the convertible.
However, we can be reasonably certain that the the debenture holders possibly couldn't have made money based on appreciation of LASX stock.

In case you haven't read this post (Barron's article on floorless convertibles)
exchange2000.com

Why am I bringing this up on the Altair thread?
These firms now hold 5M worth of floorless convertible debentures of ALTIF.

Just some food for thought.
