Hmmm. Castlewood Orb is going to be released in the Spring, and it has 2.16 Gigs, very fast data rate, costs $199, and uses $29 media.

With this threat in mind, I would buy Jaz2 right now if it were $199, and had $29 media. I would sacrifice the data speed advantage, and some capacity the Orb offers to get the Jaz2 now. Compatibility with Jaz1 carts is not an issue with me. I use fixed hard drives for my projects. But storing 2.16 Gigs at a time would be useful to free up space, and perhaps archive. At $29 a pop for 2.16 Gigs, this finally makes it seem like an economical solution for me.
