Hi Ian
The is no end year effect as a result of brokerage fiscal years as far as I am aware. Certainly not during my time with major house. Overdue accounts have to come onside within government regulations and industry rules and cannot be left hanging. Mind you, this may happen in boutique operations like Lemaire fiasco in Montreal or so. If there is an effect, it is indiscernible to the overall markets in my opinion. If there is housecleaning to be done, then the whole operation is flakey IMO and one should stay away from that brokerage and anything it covers.
