NB98.11-2] Canada: World Wide Minerals Ltd.
(WWM) has reported a refinancing of its debt and
restructuring of its management. The changes see WWM
increasing its ownership in the Dornod uranium project in
Mongolia by purchasing WM Mining Company's 10 percent
interest in the project and also the appointment of Wallace Mays
as president and chief operating officer of WWM. WWM also
reported that it has been advised by Kazakhstan that its
government 'recognises...it has a responsibility to repay the
company's investment in that country. However, no offer of
compensation has yet been received'. (FreshFuel, 16 March, p1;
