Pacific Bell (parent company SBC Communications) is now doing serious advertising for its new "number and name" caller I.D. Saw big ad in Chronicle and read article in business section. SBC has achieved 60% penetration in Texas, while its newest market (thru PacBell) is at only 7%, and California accounts for about 10% U.S. population, making it a very large market.

This bodes well for Cidco, as it has a major California caller I.D. contract with SBC, and when you consider the potential for Japan caller I.D. sales, iPhone and CST 2100 sales, the future looks great for Cidco. Article also stated SBC plans to begin selling iPhone to its residential customers this year.

I betcha Cidco's annual and sequential EPS will begin a long growth trend starting this year. Tons of cash ($6 per share), no debt, great new products and strong sales growth potential in U.S. and abroad. Time to buy now, at $13-$16 range. We'll be at $30 in 1999.
