was the deal with spinning off Actra and then folding it back in


Actually, Actra was a joint venture between Netscape and GEIS. Netscape gained lots of valuable EDI and E-Commerce experience of GEIS that they would not have had if it was done in-house.

I won't even go into their ineptness in maximizing
profits with THE NUMBER ONE INTERNET SITE (giving the keys away to Yahoo essentially).


I don't think you know what you are talking about. Even though Yahoo has more traffic to its site, Netscape has managed to translate their website into much more profits than Yahoo has.
