Rumors I have heard place the Hitachi earning impact for the 1st quarter to be $1 million or $3.2 million. I am not sure which is more reliable. I had been under the impression that the $3.2 figure might be the full year impact but even my sources seem to be guessing. One thing that is not a guess is that 97 earnings will not be pretty. What is likely to be pretty are the 98 projections, with more reliability than in the past. Another rumor is that the delay in the earnings release was so that they can get further along in closing an agreement with another venture partner, a big one. Again, these are just the rumors I have heard on and off the threads.
