Jean, looking at the links it seems that Polaroid has a "finger imaging" matching capacity, which seems to imply a photo overlay type match -- very primitive, I'd think, from our point of view, and Viisage talks about "capabilities" in relation to their face recognition/digital photo driver's license products. My take on this is that Viisage has no fingerscanning biometrics; that Polaroid has a crude fingerprint system of its own; and, that the Phillipines possibilities have boiled down to either the Polaroid technology or the IDX technology (via Sagem as a subsubcontractor).
